A Roundup of Ten Cool Retro Fabrics I’m Digging Right Now
I’m always brainstorming about new crafty projects and currently on a search for cute retro fabrics. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites I’ve seen online. Here are my top ten:
Mid Century Homes from spoonflower.com. This is super cute print for mid-century ranch enthusiasts.
I wasn’t familiar with this site until I started looking for retro prints. Designers can create their own custom printed fabric or you can shop for the more than 350,000 fabrics on the site. There are so many cute patterns! You can also choose the fabric type. They have everything from organic cotton sateen to fleece and lycra. I haven’t yet purchased from Spoonflower. Have you? I’d love to hear what you think.
50’s Vintage Xmas 4 Cats from Spoonflower.com
Kitchenette Retro Spoons Tea Towel from Spoonflower.com
Orbs #7 from Spoonflower.com Super cute pattern with great pops of color.
Michael Miller Mid-Century Modern Atomic Turquoise Fabric (Amazon) Another fun take on the mid-century sunburst pattern, and a budget friendly choice.
Midcentury Home from spoonflower.com
Do you Fondue? from spoonflower.com Love this! Wouldn’t it make a fun table runner?
Stars Fabric – Mid-Century Modern (Amazon and Spoonflower.com)
Swaying Palms Aloe Green by Tommy Bahama (Amazon) This pattern is similar to the Martinique pattern wallpaper at the Beverly Hill Hotel. It also reminds me of my favorite dishes.
Mid Mod Circles Cotton Fabric by Riley Blake It’s like an exotic olive mix! Another budget friendly choice.
Fun prints and colors are so inspiring. I’d love to make a table runner, and am thinking about making some small bags for cosmetics and the like. I also like using fabric to cover a cork board in my home office. It brings a great pop of color to the room. I’m due for a change, and there are so many fun choices! What would you choose?
