Many parties and showers are being moved to Zoom, celebrated solo, or toasted in pairs. Large batch party punches feel unsuitable right now, but the retro recipes you love for celebrating don’t have to be completely abandoned. This recipe is a riff on the colorful sherbet punches that often accompanied baby showers and church functions. But I’ve lighted it up a bit. Flavored sparkling water replaces sugary sodas and tart cranberry juice pairs nicely with raspberry sherbet and creamy vanilla ice cream. Help Raise Money for Pediatric Cancer Research!

I created this recipe for a very special reason. Today, food bloggers around the country are joining together to raise funds for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. Cancer is the #1 cause of death of children by disease in the U.S. There are 40,000 U.S. children actively battling cancer right now. The National Cancer Institute’s budget for childhood cancer is less than 4%. It is such a small number and that’s why I joined other food bloggers and got involved.

And with the ongoing pandemic, children are still being diagnosed with cancer. It’s imperative that we raise awareness and continue to raise funds to fund the ongoing pediatric cancer research!
