Are you looking for the ultimate Independence Day Cheese Board? Well, look no further. I’ve got the red, white, and blue food groups covered with a few retro ideas the whole family will love. From salty to spicy and sweet, this board is tasty, easy to put together, and won’t break the bank.
Cream Cheese and Pepper Jelly
Add a pop of red and white to your platter with red pepper jelly and cream cheese. The sweet and spicy jelly is a lovely compliment to the salty cream cheese. Spread it on your favorite cracker.
Cream Cheese and Blueberry Jelly
For those who like the sweet, but not the spice, blueberry jelly on cream cheese makes a yummy spread for crackers.
Prosciutto Roll Ups
Because a cheese board can’t be all cheese, add some more protein to your board with Prosciutto Roll Ups. Get the recipe here.
Eat Your Veggies
Fruit and veggies cut into fun shapes are even more delicious! I’ve been having fun with this Mini Vegetable & Fruit Cutters Kit The star shape is perfect for the 4th of July. I used the star shapes for cutting up Swiss cheese and watermelon. Okay, so I didn’t actually use them for veggies, but I cut some beautiful purple carrots into sticks, so the board does have a little veg. Make your star accents out of bits you are using in other party dishes like a few slices of melon or cucumber slices. There’s no wrong way to do this, so make it your own!
All the Color
Fill out the cheese board with your favorite crackers, red raspberries, green grapes, purple carrots, and multi colored chips. The more color the better!
Don’t forget the patriotic pinwheels.
Happy 4th of July!
